Jake Gyllenhaal & Rashida Jones Dating?

Jake Gyllenhaal has always had a thing for blondes -- but perhaps Rashida Jones could change his mind! Gyllenhaal, who has dated Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon and Kirsten Dunst, was spotted on a lunch date with the Parks & Recreation star on Sunday. Gyllenhaal, 30, and Jones, 35, joined a few friends for food at Los Angeles' trendy Cafe Gratitude. Jones let the Love and Other Drugs actor steal some bites off her plate as they shared some laughs. After lunch, the two of them took Jake's dog Atticus for a walk.
People describes Rashida and Jake as "longtime friends," but we think they have great couple potential. Check out the similarities: Both come from show business families (Rashida is the daughter of Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton; Jake is the son of a director and screenwriter, not to mention actress Maggie Gyllenhaal's younger brother). They're both half-Jewish. Both studied religion at Ivy League colleges (though Jake dropped out of Columbia, while Rashida graduated from Harvard). They're both active in politics and social justice issues. Oh, and they both do this "acting" thing sometimes. We suspect their eHarmony profiles would match right up!
While Jones doesn't have quite the international fame that Gyllenhaal enjoys, she's enjoyed a pretty high-profile love life, dating Toby Maguire, producer Mark Ronson, Office costar John Krasinski and Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau (as opposed to Iron Man director Jon Favreau). She's also appearing in four major feature films -- including The Muppets -- this year alone. Basically, she's a lady who could give Jake a run for his money!
